Now, It is the main season for harvesting corn in this area. Corn is one of the main food for the villagers. They use corn in various repertoires for tiffins when they go to the work and also in their house. Normally they eat corn (pop corn) with butter and milk. People simply eat boiled corn, also. Moreover, it can replace rice and we called it “makai ko chyakhaya”. It and its cover (so-called bhutla) is also used for animal feeding in winter season. People keep seed for planting next season.
