This month of August and BHADRA in Nepali month. The rainy season will finish soon and weather will be clear.  Still around here It rain shortly everyday. Sometime we can see mountain view from Hananoie. In last friday, it was very nice Himalayan view with greenery mountain from Hananoie. It seemed that the nature was happy with us. Hananoie is located in Astam village in north west of Pokhara. Almost 90% people are farmer and few percent people are depend on working in other country. Birds in Hananoie

Locating in the hill of Astam, Hananoie is surrounded by plentiful forest, peaceful village and beautiful terrace fields. Therefore we can find diversity for birds around Hananoie such as egrets and herons in the paddy fields, hawks and krestels hovering in the sky, colorful parrots, nimble swifts, etc.

Hiking to Astam Village

During the training, Mr. Durga, a hananoie staff, took us to Astam Village, where he was born. Astam is a small mountain village of which population is around 300. Farming is the main source of income. We walked uphill, passing through the green terrace paddy fields. The green scenery cooled us from the hot sunshine.

We went to Hananoie by a Jeep from Pokhara, the base of trekking and sightseeing, via Milanchowk, a small town at the trailhead to Hananoie. It is a good idea to walk on the trail From Milanchowk to Hananoie which took approximately 1.5 to 2 hours
