Harvesting time for onion in Hananoie and around

It is Sunny day and tempareture is warm in a day time. This morning, it was so nice Himalaya view and we could see greenery view around from Hananoie. Recently, it rains every day. Around here, corns are looking tall and people are growing seasonal vegetables. We could see plants such as cucumbers, eggplants, green beans, pumpkins etc. We could see many kinds of seasonal flowers blossoming in Hananoie also.

This time, in Hananoie, we are harvesting vegetables such as onion, our important vegetable. If we walk around here, we can see people are harvesting onion. We use it in every food such as Nepali ,Japanese. It is very necessary and useful for Nepali food. It makes food tasty and delicious. When we cook Nepali curry and meat without the onion. It is planted in Nepali month ir Mansir (November,December) and harvested in June. This vegetable is planted at our organic farm beside the cottage. We took the onion from the fields and dry under sunlight around a couple of days and keep in dry place. Around here people are keep it upstairs of their house in Hananoie we keep it upstairs in round house and use it all year. When we planting onion we use compost like buffalo and goat dung. If possible can use cows’ also. So we and people around here are keeping animal for farming. It is our tradition.
