The weather is almost clear. we could see white Himalayan view in the morning, a lovely valley below with River Mardi Khola and many villages. Recently it is cloudy in day time. From here we could see green wheat, mustard and other seasonal vegetable fields. People look busy.

This week we are harvesting potatoes in Hananoie. And so do the people around here. Potatoes are very important vegetables for us. This is a best season in Nepal to harvest potatoes, especial in mountain area. The mountain potatoes have simple taste but tasty. We fertilizes the field by buffaloes’ and goats’ dung. We use this natural fertilizer to other organic vegetables too. this is a tradition of Nepalese farming. We use potatoes for all years when it was Harvested.potatos is main vegetable. In countryside of Nepal, people take potatoes rather than rice in harvesting season.

The potatoes are harvested within 90 days after planting. Not only Nepalese food, but also we use them for Japanese foods and western foods.
