Spring in Hananoie

Well, this March it s main season for harvesting potatoes (Aalu in Nepali). In Hananoie and around here, we used buffalo dung as a fertilizer. Potatoes are a main vegetable in Nepal. We keep them in cool and dry place. They can mixed with every vegetable. We use the potatoes in many kinds of curry. We also eat boiled and fried potatoes. These potatoes are planted in the end of November and can be Harvested after 90 days They are not good to plant in rainy season. we cultivate many enough to use for 6-7 month and keep the seed for next season . The villager also sell their potatoes as another soure of income.
