Milking,it is very common, especially in country side of Nepal. It is our tradition. You can see this work done by men and women together. Around here you can see people milking buffaloes and cows. In the higher area, poeple take milk from yaks and other animals. They make Yak cheese. it is very famous in Nepal. You can see on the mountain people keeping domestic animal as well as in Hananoie..
We do milking twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. It is daily life of the mountain people. Milk is used in Nepal all day. In the morning it is our tradition to take milk tea. We make yogurt, drink, hot milk, milk tea (Chiya), butter and ghee from milk. Ghee is very famous in Nepal. we use ghee as an oil to cook Nepali curry. It is good for health also.
People like to eat rice with milk. We processed the milk by boiling. We also make yogurt by leaving milk in a pot for a few days. Yogurt is used for dessert. We serve to our guest at Hananoie. We make butter from the yogurt. Butter is making especially in the early morning. We can make other items from milk. Farmers sell milk and Ghee. It is an alternative income for them.
