Making Tofu

Today, I will show you how we make a tofu (Japanese style bean curd). We always make this standard Japanese food because most of our guests are Japanese. The tofu is made from soybeans. It is impossible to find tofu shop in Nepal. That’s why our Nepalese staffs make tofu by themselves.

The Tofu is used in various Japanese foods such as miso soup, cold tofu “Hieyakko”, boiled Tofu. It can be preserved within 3 days after making. So we make it after knowing the exact number of the guests

We obtain the soy milk when maiking the tofu. Then we also get “okara” by squeezing the soy milk. It is rich in calcium and fiber. It can be used to make cookies, and croquettes.
