Astam, where Hananoie belongs to, has been suffering from water shortage. In the past, the villager got the precious water through a pipeline from Dhampus, 10 km apart from Astam. Water is one of the most important thing for lives. Hananoie has two underground water storage tanks. We store water from the pipeline and rain water. Fortunately, we have good rain here and can make the tank full sometimes.

We use filtered water to make tea and wash vegetables to make salad. We change the filter every six months.
