On the day before yestreday, we celebrated the festival Janaipurnima and Raksha Bandhan all over Nepal. this festival is related to Hindu religion. Hindu men get Janai (sacred thread) from priests at the temple. Raksha Bandhan is also celebrated on the same day. Generally people celebrates both festival on the same day. Hindu sisters ties sacred threads ( Rakhi) around her brothers’ wrist on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Mostly people from Tarai region celebrats this festival. It is a day when siblings pray for each other’s well being and happiness.

Yesterday we celebrated the another festival named Gaijatra. This is the festival of Newar communit.. People worship for the peace of dead souls who died in this year. Families of dead people, design cows as the remembrance of the dead people with well decoration. People worship for rest in peace of dead souls. During this festival people gather and celebrate.
