It is a cloudy day and light rain rained here. Nowadays we are cleaning up our farm to prepare for planting next seasonal vegetables. Around here people almost finish harvesting corn. We can see green millet and green paddy field. We could see the valley with big rice field and River Mardi khola with rapid flow.

Today, Hananoie has new members!! 4 baby goats have been born since yesterday.

Goats are domesticated in all over in Nepal. We have also a number of goats in Hananoie. We keep them for meat and its dung is used for fertilizer. People in Himalaya region make ghee and cheese from their milk. Himalaya goats are little bigger than mountain goats. They are very useful. They are fed by grass and crops also. Goats have 6 month pregnant and bear 1 -3 baby goats. In Nepal, male goats are used for meat and female goats are kept for giving birth. After 7,8 month they can sell for meat. Female can be pregnant so it is more expensive then the other. it is a alternate income for farmers. Thousand of Himalayan goats are sell in market in Dashain festival in Nepal.
