At present, villagers, especially the women, are making traditional matresses called “gundri”. They are made from rice strow. The rice strow are keeping from October and November when the rice was harversted. The strow is very suitable to make gundri and can be used as cattle food in dry season.

The gundris are very useful in especially countryside of Nepal. They are one of the income sources of the villagers. We use them as beds, in daily use or when we have a party.
